We are pleased that Evolve Composites, Inc. decided to locate in Hancock and the State of Maryland, rather than another location. We know that the path of success for our community is when manufacturing groups like Evolve Composites, Inc. invests here to create jobs for our citizens. Evolve Composites, Inc. will provide a significant investment over the long haul, which will allow for updating the facility and starting production soon to accommodate the company's needs. The addition of 60 new jobs is tremendous news for us."

"It is a pleasure to see an environmentally conscience company like Evolve locate here with plans to continue to grow," said Dave Smith, Hancock’s Town Manager. Evolve Composites, Inc. is a dynamic organization with a primary focus on the development of quality innovative products to provide value-added solutions to the end user. The rapid growth of the organization on the global stage over the past 5 years required a name change from Polyslab International to Evolve Composites. This reflects the direction of the business and allows the reputable Polyslab name to join the rapidly expanding Evolve product and brand portfolios. Evolve manufactures and supplies HVAC Condenser Pads, HandiBlock lightweight deck piers, Polyslab irrigation and pool pump covers and Sinkpal drain guards. Evolve currently has manufacturing facilities in Alabama and Florida.

"This major expansion represents another significant step on our journey of solid growth," said Martin Bristow, Evolve Composites, Inc., and CEO. "Partnering with the Town of Hancock to make this happen enables our ongoing commitment to everything we do for our customers, owners, and employees. We look forward to working with the Town, the State of Maryland and the communities of the surrounding region."

The 110,000 square foot former manufacturing facility on 22 acres was donated to the Town by Mr. Stanley E. Fulton to bring manufacturing jobs locally. The facility and site were named in honor Mr. Fulton’s generosity to its citizens. The Town owns and manages the facility. Recently Hancock was awarded $600,000 of Maryland’s CDBG funds to help upgrade the site and buildings. The Town plans to work with Evolve Composites, Inc. to make improvements to the facility for production to begin in early 2012. The Town and Evolve Composites, Inc. will work with Governor Martin O’Malley’s office to secure additional help with business assistance, job creation incentives and additional economic development assistance for the Town and surrounding region.
