HANCOCK, MARYLAND – Mayor Daniel Murphy today announced that Evolve Composites, Inc. a manufacturer and supplier of innovative Polymer Plastic Products and Evo-Crete lightweight precast concrete products will locate its newest manufacturing facility and corporate headquarters in the Town of Hancock, Maryland. Evolve Composites, Inc. plans to create 60 new jobs within the next three years.

We have a talented, dedicated and hard working workforce here in the region. We have excellent transportation in every direction; and, we have the Stanley E. Fulton Industrial Complex Site that was provided to the Town by Mr. Fulton to help bring manufacturing jobs here. We know our people made the difference. We are pleased that Evolve Composites, Inc. decided to locate in Hancock and the State of Maryland, rather than another location. This is a major positive signal for our Town and reinforces our community goal as well as the attributes of our people and area. We know that the path of success for our community is when manufacturing groups like Evolve Composites, Inc. invests here to create jobs for our citizens. Evolve Composites, Inc. will provide a significant investment over the long haul, which will allow for updating the facility and starting production soon to accommodate the company's needs. The addition of 60 new jobs is tremendous news for us."

"It is a pleasure to see an environmentally conscience company like Evolve locate here with plans to continue to grow," said Dave Smith, Hancock’s Town Manager. "In the past five years Evolve Composites, Inc. has seen growth on the global scale - a true feat in these challenging economic times. This company will provide new employment opportunities for our area which will help bring business our community as well as our downtown stores and restaurants."

Evolve Composites, Inc. is a dynamic organization with a primary focus on the development of quality innovative products to provide value-added solutions to the end user. The rapid growth of the organization on the global stage over the past 5 years required a name change from Polyslab International to Evolve Composites. This reflects the direction of the business and allows the reputable Polyslab name to join the rapidly expanding Evolve product and brand portfolios. Evolve manufactures and supplies HVAC Condenser Pads, HandiBlock lightweight deck piers, Polyslab irrigation and pool pump covers and Sinkpal drain guards. Evolve currently has manufacturing facilities in Alabama and Florida.

"This major expansion represents another significant step on our journey of solid growth," said Martin Bristow, Evolve Composites, Inc., and CEO. "Partnering with the Town of Hancock to make this happen enables our ongoing commitment to everything we do for our customers, owners, and employees. We look forward to working with the Town, the State of Maryland and the communities of the surrounding region."

The 110,000 square foot former manufacturing facility on 22 acres was donated to the Town by Mr. Stanley E. Fulton to bring manufacturing jobs locally. The facility and site were named in honor Mr. Fulton’s generosity to its citizens. The Town owns and manages the facility. Recently Hancock was awarded $600,000 of Maryland’s CDBG funds to help upgrade the site and buildings. The Town plans to work with Evolve Composites, Inc. to make improvements to the facility for production to begin in early 2012. The Town and Evolve Composites, Inc. will work with Governor Martin O’Malley’s office to secure additional help with business assistance, job creation incentives and additional economic development assistance for the Town and surrounding region.

Mayor Murphy, Town Manager Smith and Stephen M. Gyurisin of Advance Planning Associates, LC worked with CEO Martin Bristow and other company executives to secure a long-term agreement. "Evolve Composites, Inc. found that we are a perfect match, they want to be a good corporate citizen and we look forward to the company's sustained growth in the years ahead," said Mayor Murphy.
